Wow I have been out of the circuit for several months since my beloved cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and then the short, sad road until he crossed over the rainbow bridge (tears still)....BUT my vocal ways and drive to share the truth is coming back in full force!
This is so important to know and grotesque to imagine that peoples dogs are stolen to be used for the dog meat trade. For real. Can you even imagine eating a dog. Well the people who rescue Moon Bears have just reported:
"We have seen much evidence of stolen dogs entering the dog meat trade over the years and now believe that they make up the majority of the meat dogs sold. Many of the 800 dogs rescued were still wearing collars and several were clearly domesticated – even crying when the staff and volunteers left the compounds at the Qi Meng Shelter."
"We recently told you about eight hundred sick and terrified dogs that were rescued from the meat trade in Chengdu city. Bone-thin, many have distemper, tumours, abscesses, infected eyes and open wounds – we need your help to get supplies to the Qi Meng Shelter who have taken over 350 of the dogs and are nursing them back to health in the hope that many of them can eventually be re-homed. Help us to help them by donating to Animals Asia so we can continue to support Qi Meng and campaign to end this cruel industry."
SO PLEASE.
If you have anything to give, even just a few bucks, you will be making a difference for these poor rescued dogs.
