I am absolutely exhausted from this issue.  My energy plummeted at yet more proof that we have a joke of a president, once again. Is this guy for real and has he turned a 180 on nearly every single thing he has said he was about in order to get into office.  Has he even stood by his word on one issue?  And do any presidents go to heaven or do they all end up in hell?  Because it sure seems like when they are alive they try to create hell for the people they are supposed to be there for.  I just don't get it and it creates such a hopeless feeling.

So there was a huge victory in keeping genetically-modified (GM) crops out of US wildlife refuges.  It was a YES, finally, some justice.  But now guess what?  You know it.  The Obama administration, you know that administration that is SO for the people, is working to  overturn this court decision  AND is fighting to make is so no one can fight the issue or even bring it up again.  They want to cement that door shut with the dream that all the US can eventually be a GMO Nation.  And this isn't even the first time!  They overturned the court decision with the GMO Alfalfa and the GMO Beets.  And I'm sure they are eyeing the GMO Salmon next.  And what really gets me is that some countries OUTLAW GMO's.  Some countries are so wise and aware that that say fuck that shit!  We don't want those United States created cancer causers.  Hell no.  But here in the US, unfortunately, we have a government that wants us all to die.  Which confuses me at times, if we all die how are they gonna take all their taxes from us.  Where will their income come from?

Soon I wonder if we will have to go to Canada to get organic foods.  Or like they will be smuggled in and you'll have to find an undercover connection to get the goods. And like there will be the threat of jail time if you are caught with organic foods.  Oh gosh.  In no time Obama will be a name you cringe when hear.  Just like Nixon.  Just like Bush.  Cringe and shudder.

yet another reason to say: proud to be an american??

A Wikileaks post published on The Nation shows that the Obama Administration fought to keep Haitian wages at 31 cents an hour.

(This article was taken down by The Nation due to an embargo, but it was excerpted at Columbia Journalism Review.)

It started when Haiti passed a law two years ago raising its minimum wage to 61 cents an hour. According to an embassy cable:

This infuriated American corporations like Hanes and Levi Strauss that pay Haitians slave wages to sew their clothes. They said they would only fork over a seven-cent-an-hour increase, and they got the State Department involved. The U.S. ambassador put pressure on Haiti’s president, who duly carved out a $3 a day minimum wage for textile companies (the U.S. minimum wage, which itself is very low, works out to $58 a day).

Haiti has about 25,000 garment workers. If you paid each of them $2 a day more, it would cost their employers $50,000 per working day, or about $12.5 million a year ... As of last year Hanes had 3,200 Haitians making t-shirts for it. Paying each of them two bucks a day more would cost it about $1.6 million a year. Hanesbrands Incorporated made $211 million on $4.3 billion in sales last year.

Thanks to U.S. intervention, the minimum was raised only to 31 cents.

it seems our world is being run by a bunch of prostitutes and while they may not, may not, be giving themselves up sexually for money, they are giving up every thing else for the all powerful dollar.  Like I said about Obama, who just recently gave this powerful agriculture position to a monsanto man, which if that doesn't make you go WTF then you maybe need to see if you are still alive and have a pulse, and not just being run by a battery.  But in my opinion all these people, like Obama, are just tools and are being bent over and fucked up the ass, probably by monstanto, while being told to squeal like a pig and boy does he ever.  EEEEEEEEE, from Obama.  And I mean come on people, was he not state senator 4 years earlier before he became president, with NO connections at all?  isn't that a bit sketchy?  He was a tool that "they" picked because  "they" knew the US was becoming more open minded and READY for a black president.  Obama could have hand fed us all shit and we would have elected him because we are so ready for change and we just all believed he, being aftrican american would REALLY be for the people and for helping those at the bottom of the food chain who have suffered behind the rich white man for way too long.  But since he is just a tool,  behind the rich white man, we are fooled once again.  And someone just told me, which I am so not politically versed and you can argue anything I say and I will probably respond with something childish and well oh yeah!, I can admit that, so please don't argue with me, but I was told that Obama wrote it into law that anyone who donated for him going into office now has to come forward and make themselves known if they choose to not give next time and choose to give elsewhere.  Which that is pretty shitty, huh?  That is like writing it into law that if you have a job and even plan on looking elsewhere for something better that you FIRST have to tell your present employer that you PLAN on looking for another job.  Right.  That's something we all would never want to do.  Anyway,  I am on some soapbox this morning it appears.  But please watch this video.  It's really not what I was just spouting about but it is really important to know.  This labeling of the GMO's which is in place in 30 countries is something we really need in the US.  Can we even as a nation get that right?  I don't know.  But we have to try, because we have to do something, unless we too want to continue bent over and forced to squeal like a pig.

why is it 100% since Jimmy Carter that who they say they are is the exact opposite of who they really are.  Why can't they be honest and real and TRULY fighting for the peoples best interest?
