When I got to my house I went into the backyard and because I am between two canon walls and it was about 7pm so the hail hadn't melted and the ground was covered in snow/hail even though the temp outside was over 70 degrees. THEN. I get inside and I hear all this battering around against the window in my dining room and when I get up to it I see it is a hummingbird stuck in my house! So I was like, oh my gosh what do I do. So I tried to grab him the way you would a parakeet, but that didn't work and I didn't want to injure him. So I just put my finger out, wondering, how on Earth will this really work, but he just jumped right up and sat there as I walked over to the patio door! He didn't fly off and acted like this was just what we do together. I actually hesitated at the door because I didn't want this special moment to end, feeling his little feet gripped around my finger, with cute little head looking around at everything, but then again I didn't want him to freak out and lose this opportunity so I got him to the door and he just flew away in the buzzing sound of way they do... and THEN...
